Description

The United States GP at Laguna Seca provided excellent racing. Wayne Gardner and Kevin Schwantz were hoping to win. John Kocinski was back on 250cc duty. Jim Fillice was out to stop him. The sidecars were in action for the first time in 1989. This was also rated the USA grand prix after impressive rookie Bubba Shobert had his career ending crash during the cool down lap.
