Description

Round 7 of the 1988 championship, held at the Salzburgring - the fastest venue in the Grand Prix calendar. Eddie Lawson, Wayne Gardner, Wayne Rainey and Kevin Magee were all eager to keep things tight for the title. Would Austria provide a new winner, or was Lawson able to deliver the goods...? Master sidecar tactician and technician Rolf Biland regained his winning ways with the LCR outfit but Britain's Steve Webster and Tony Hewitt wanted to peg back the flying Swiss.
