Description

As Benetton won its first F1 world championship with Michael Schumacher in 1994, the backmarker Pacific team was regularly failing to qualify with a car that shared the same heritage. Both teams were running a design based on the failed Reynard F1 project, which aimed to get on the grid for 1992. When that didn’t come off, the design was first taken to Benetton for that season, and two years later it appeared again as the Pacific, with very different levels of success.
