MG F Cup 1998

1998 was the inaugural year for the exciting MGF Cup. With full support from MG Cars the Championship quickly established itself as one of the highest profile manufacturers racing series with extensive television. radio and press coverage.

28 drivers in identical 190 BHP race-prepared MGFs fought out the Championship over 12 races at eight different UK circuits. With a £100,000 prize fund and the prestigious title at stake, often there was no quarter asked - or given. The racing was close, often too close!This video captures the best of the action at each round of the 12 races, telling the story of a dramatic season which saw a three-way battle go down to the last round.
