The Brumos Collection's museum in Jacksonville, Florida is home to some extraordinary cars! After an exploration of the collection and workshop, we're heading out for some off-road fun in the Keen Project 911 "Safari"... which turns out to be one of the most spectacular driving experiences possible!
The Brumos Collection have recently opened the museum to house the various cars from both the Brumos Racing history and also the private collection of early 1900s old timers. With a display featuring numerous Millers, a Bugatti Type 35, some early Peugeots and plenty more, there's a lot to take in before even heading to the Porsche display. It's there we can see some of the most significant motorsports cars to date from the 908K to 917s and even a bespoke made 918 Spyder Weissach Package with the Brumos Racing livery.
However, awaiting outside is the Keen Project 911 "Safari" which we're taking for a serious drive. Built off the 1980s 911s (either Carrera 3.0 or 3.2 SC), the car is raised, reinforced, and very much following the ethos of the original Safari Porsches that saw great success. While not the most powerful car in the world, it's built to be an experience and when sliding around dirt road corners, and splashing through flooded roads, it sure is exactly that!
