The SLS Black Series is back in action for my 100th lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife! Joined by Misha, let's head out onto the Green Hell in some sketchy conditions to enjoy this legendary place, with some reminiscing of the past, and looking forward to the future along the way. Every time, it's such an epic car! Prior to 2020, I had driven a total of 34 laps of the Nürburgring Nordschleife, enough to have a bit of an understanding but still very much in the early stages. However, while this year's plans in many ways haven't gone as intended with countless cancelled trackdays, it did offer me a lot of opportunity to spend many days in the Eifel Mountains with lots of different cars to improve and progress myself. Having kept track of exactly how many laps I've driven to date, for my 100th time around the Green Hell, it had to be with the special Shmeemobile to have arrived this year; the SLS AMG Black Series, and joined by my friend Misha. Since first meeting Misha at the Ring about 5 years ago we have driven many laps together and regularly shot videos around the area. Despite being sunny, the track itself was certainly very much at the slippery end with plenty of areas yet to dry out and as such a significant amount of caution required to safely bring the SLS BS back home. During the Touristenfahrten (Tourist Drives) sessions as always it's a great place to enjoy the famous toll road and take in the scenery at a sensible pace, while learning more of the different conditions that it exposes. And of course, there isn't much better than the sound from the RENNtech R1 equipped SLS Black Series!
