Godzilla is back! Pitting the £150k Nismo GT-R up against the MY2017 Nissan GT-R, BenzeneBen compares the two versions to see what you get for that extra £60k more over the standard car. Routinely described as the supercar killer, there is no question that Nissan and Nismo are making seriously quick cars, but let's delve into them in more detail. Would you take the Nismo?
The normal Nissan GT-R is a really capable car for track use. It has its flaws, which the Nismo fixes and takes even further with a range of performance enhancements. You could argue that £60k is a hefty price tag over the standard car, but Ben shows you in the video that on all fronts Nissan has taken the fast package and made it a lot more capable into an ultimate track spec. This comes at a cost and it might well be the right number if you want factory warranty and the finest from Japan.
